In tragedy, we often find courage. When her husband Scott Clarke was lost at sea, Heather Crout (above) turned to art. Her paintings inspired others in her community, and inspired fishers up and down Nova Scotia's eastern shore to wear PFDs when they worked.
Tragedy continues to take far too great a human toll in Nova Scotia. Some Nova Scotians touched by it have shared their stories, in the hopes of inspiring others in the prevention of future tragedy.
