Whether you are a young worker or a parent with kids entering the workforce, you should be talking about workplace safety at home.
Young workers, ask your parents. Parents, ask your kids:
Do you know safety your rights?
Did you get safety training?
Do you know the safety rules at your job?
Do you have safety equipment? Do you use it properly?
Does your supervisor talk about safety with you?
Do you feel comfortable reporting safety concerns to your supervisor?
Do you know what to do if you get hurt on the job?
Do you work with chemicals? Have you had the mandatory training to use them?
Do you work with any machinery, and have you received proper training for it?
Do you know to report any injury you receive to your supervisor immediately?
